Agrarians from 79 regions of Russia visited YugAgro 2024
Krasnodar once again became the capital of the Russian agro-industrial complex
The 31st international exhibition of agricultural machinery, equipment and materials for crop production, YugAgro 2024, drew over 19,500 agricultural professionals from 79 Russian regions, spanning from Chukotka to Kaliningrad. Attendees included specialists from agricultural holdings, farms, processing facilities, grain companies, machinery suppliers, and representatives from logistics, finance, and IT sectors.
Foreign visitors included agribusiness representatives from 40 countries, including Kazakhstan, China, India, Turkey, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
At YugAgro, farmers can find comprehensive crop farming solutions and prepare for the new season in just 4 days. The exhibition brings together industry leaders and newcomers, offering opportunities for networking, product exploration, pricing negotiations, and expert advice.
The opening ceremony was attended by Veniamin Kondratiev, Governor of the Krasnodar Region, Yuri Burlachko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Region, Nikolai Goncharov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, and Dmitry Zavgorodny, CEO of ITE Expo International LLC.
Veniamin Ivanovich Kondratiev noted during his speech that the YUGAGRO exhibition has become one of the region's calling cards. "The agro-industrial complex was, is and should be high-tech, and the exhibition contributes to this," said the Governor of the Krasnodar Region.
On the first day of YugAgro 2024, a co-operation agreement was signed between the Krasnodar Region Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry and SoyuzSemSvekla. The agreement was signed by Fedor Ivanovich Dereka, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Krasnodar Region, and Roman Vladimirovich Berdnikov, General Director of SoyuzSemSvekla LLC.
Alexander Altynov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Agricultural Machinery Dealers "Askhod", was named "Speaker of the Year" at the first YugAgro Connect Awards, which recognized winners across 8 nominations. Rostselmash won for most active social networks, and the International School of Agribusiness led in live broadcasts.
YugAgro 2024 exposition: from soil preparation equipment to final product packaging
The exposition occupied 4 pavilions and 3 open areas and was segmented into the following sections: "Agricultural machinery and spare parts", "Agrochemical products and seeds", "Equipment for agricultural products storage and processing", as well as "Equipment for irrigation and greenhouses". The total area exceeded 65,000 square metres.
The attention of farmers was traditionally attracted by the novelties of agricultural machinery at the Rostselmash stand, productive and high-tech equipment of CLAAS and other manufacturers at the stand of the "Mirovaya Tekhnika” company and the latest breeding achievements in the field of corn, sunflower, sugar beet, soya and peas, prepared by the Russian manufacturer "ROSAGROTRADE".
YugAgro 2024 Business Programme
A rich business programme accompanied all four days of the exhibition. There were 40 events attended by almost 2,000 delegates.
The business program commenced on the first day with the forum "Development of Agribusiness in Russia". This was organised by the People's Farmer Association. Forum participants were able to ask questions to Ksenia Shevelkina, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The future of farming, digital technologies and increasing profitability of agricultural enterprises were discussed at the conference of the Union of Industrialists Progress.
On the second day, the Krasnodar Region Department of Industrial Policy and Ministry of Agriculture hosted a meeting addressing cooperation between regional agricultural machinery manufacturers and producers. Discussions covered tillage machinery, fertilizer equipment, irrigation systems, and greenhouse microclimate control technologies.
